Star Wars Weeekends

Just hanging Out.
We were waiting to go into dinner Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Hollywood Studios and the kids were so tired but still excited. This is one of the coolest palaces to eat. It is actually set-up like a giant drive in theater. Everyone sits in a convertible car with 3 rows and you watch old movies on a giant screen while you eat. As you look around the room all you see is parked cars in a drive-in. It is so cool.

They had ridden Star Tours a bunch of times and had many light saber fights during the course of the day so a break was well deserved. We really enjoyed watching the Jedi's and Darth Vader at the training academy, he is so big-scary seeing him in person. Glad to see the return of Star Tours "2" this year and more Star Wars weekends.

Fridays through Sundays
May 20 to 22, 2011
May 27 to 29, 2011
June 3 to 5, 2011
June 10 to 12, 2011
Star Wars Weekends is an annual special event at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park that celebrates the legendary Star Wars Saga and the animated television series, The Clone Wars. Join Jedi Knights, Sith Lords and Star Wars celebrities for special shows, presentations and memorabilia.
The Return of Star Tours
On May 20, blast into the universe of Star Wars like never before—in 3-D! Star Tours – The Adventures Continue takes Jedi from Tatooine to Coruscant and beyond. With several possible missions, you never know where the Force may take you.
The Droids You Are Looking For
Come face-to-face with droids, alien creatures and many favorite Star Wars characters. There are motorcades and appearances from the celebrities and creators of the Star Wars films and TV series. Grab a Disney's FASTPASS before the Park opens to ensure your place in line for celebrity autographs at the autograph FASTPASS kiosk outside the Front Gate entrance. Quantities are limited.
Train, You Must
Young Jedi have special activities in store just for them. Kids under 12 have the chance hone their lightsaber skills and prepare to do battle with Darth Vader himself at the Jedi Training Academy. In the Padawan Mind Challenge, they can test their wits before the Jedi Council.
Lightspeed to Hyperspace Hoopla!
Each day ends with the Hyperspace Hoopla!, where you can let loose with music, comedy, dancing and more. With Ewoks, Wookiees, stormtroopers, Jawas and more invading Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, young Jedi and their parents would be wise to have their cameras ready.
Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park admission is required. Star Wars Weekends events are included with admission to Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. Availability is limited for some events. Events may be cancelled at any time.

  1. I LOVE the Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre. It's been about 13 years since I've made it back to Florida, but that restaurant holds a very magical moment with my family in my memories.
I wish they had Star Wars Weekends here at Disneyland!!
