The Wilderness Lodge

Welcome to those of you joining me from The Disney Point and those of you just hopping aboard I am the 5th stop aboard our special edition Magical Blogorail Loop.

Enjoy the ride as we take you on a tour of Walt Disney World’s Deluxe Resorts.

Today, I am writing about one of my most favorite Resorts on the Walt Disney World Property~ The Wilderness Lodge. This resort is located near the Magic Kingdom and it's theme is The American Northwest National Park lodges. This theme of harmony with nature winds through the lodge—inside and out. It also has Authentic decor and genuine artifacts pay homage to ancient Native American cultures and the pioneering spirit of early American explorers.

The Lobby
My family and I have stayed here many times and I can remember the first time I entered into the lobby and was in Awe. The incredible 7-story lobby, built from 85 loads of Lodge pole Pine, to its 82-foot-tall lobby fireplace, is breathe taking. As you make your way around this lodge, there are many hidden nooks on each floor. On one of the upper floors, If you go up the staircase by the Whispering Canyon Cafe there is a quiet reading place with a fireplace. Another nook has lots of chairs to hang out and yet another part there are doors heading to an outdoor deck with rocking chairs overlooking the outside landscape.
The Fireplace
There are also 2 great pools and a white sand beach to refresh in. And In addition to the pool with a water slide, watercraft and bike rentals, a high-tech game room, fishing and a 24-hour playground, children and the whole family can enjoy Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long. Children ages 3-12 can also have fun at the Cub's Den, a supervised activity center that affords parents a carefree night on the town.

Their 2 restaurants are great but, my favorite hands down is the family atmosphere and most fun you will ever have getting a bottle of ketchup the Whispering Canyon Cafe. In this rowdy, family-style restaurant right out of the Old West, you can start your morning with a bang-up breakfast of favorites such as buttermilk pancakes, omelets or an all-you-care-to-enjoy Canyon Skillet.

No that's not our family but when you ask for ketchup you get them all..

A Disney Parade

Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade

Nothing beats a Parade especially the ones at Disney World. I recently got to experience one at the Magic Kingdom Park, The Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade. It is one of my family's favorites and it doesn't disappoint the crowd with all the action. The characters, dancers and floats are so colorful and make you want to dance in the streets. I love the end especially because it's when the Mickey confetti explodes out of the canyons..

Here are some Parade PICS ~

 What Is your Favorite Parade??
Thanks for Stopping BY ;-)

Disney Rituals

Welcome to those of you joining me from Joanna and Her Amazing Technicolor Interwebs and those of you just hopping aboard, I am the 3rd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

This month's topic asked the question about "What are your Disney rituals?" After giving much thought to this topic, I thought we really do have  a lot of rituals and one of our main ones is we must visit certain rides when we go to each park. We have always made Magic Kingdom our first park every time after arriving at Walt Disney World. This ritual has many reasons, one being it's the park our kids have enjoyed the most since they were babies and has many of the rides/attractions we have being riding for 15 years are there. At the top of the list Space Mountain, Pirates, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion and Goofy's Barnstorming.
Check out these faces

Another Ritual is making sure we hit A parade and the fireworks each day.

One of our food rituals is visiting our favorite restaurants like Whispering Canyon Cafe Located in the Wilderness Lodge and Kona Cafe located in the Polynesian where the food is great and the cast members make it so much fun. We also add to this ritual by trying a New restaurant each time we visit Walt Disney World. Each family member comes up with a list of restaurants and then we secretly vote on it to see which one wins.

Parade at Epcot ~ 2003
