The thing I haven't done but want to do at Disney Is!!

Welcome to those of you joining me from  Joanna and her Amazing Technicolor Interwebs and those of you just hopping aboard I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail Peach.

What I haven't done at Disney but, have always wanted to do is drive a race car at the Richard Petty Raceway. It is located right outside the Magic Kingdom Parking Lot. This has always been a dream of mine for a long time. I love driving and always wanted to try this experience because you can go really fast and not get a ticket. I know it sounds crazy but going fast around a race track for me is not scary as I would find going on the Tower of Terror. Lol.  Another interesting thing that you can also do is ride shoot gun now for a less intense experience, I also might do this too just to get the feel of how the professionals drive.

Here is the 411 on the experience in case you want to join me!!

I love this topic because there was one thing that popped into my mine as soon as I heard it, I have always wanted to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience.

Drive or ride shotgun in a NASCAR race car at Walt Disney World Speedway!

Take command of the wheel and experience real speed first-hand by driving a NASCAR race car around the mile-long, tri-oval racetrack! You're in for the thrill of a lifetime as you test your driving skills during one of our 8, 18 or 30 lap programs.

Looking to enjoy the ride from the passenger's seat? Experience real life racing excitement as you ride shotgun in a 2-seat NASCAR race car driven by one of our professional driving instructors during your 3-lap qualifying run. You'll quickly learn what it takes to compete in NASCAR as you reach speeds up to 140 MPH.

Call (800) 237-3889 or visit the Richard Petty Driving Experience for more information or to reserve your seat! Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call. You must have a valid driver's license to participate in any driving experience. Additional rules and restrictions apply.
Let your dream become a reality with an Exotic Driving Experience at Walt Disney World Speedway near Orlando, Florida. Here, you'll find some of the world's fastest and most exotic high-performance supercars by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Audi—all ready to speed around a real racetrack. Simply pick the car of your preference and get ready for an exhilarating ride!

About the Exotics Course
On the Exotics Course at Walt Disney World Speedway, you can truly test the capabilities of these vehicles. With no traffic, no stoplights and no law enforcement to slow you down, an adrenaline-pumping experience awaits you.
The Exotics Course is a one-mile, hybrid design that utilizes the tri-oval's backstretch and Turn 2, and then takes drivers into a newly-designed interior section that includes a series of fast righthand and lefthand turns inside street-course style barriers. This layout lets you rapidly accelerate and reach high speeds while testing the deft handling and braking characteristics of some of the world's most incredible supercars.

Driving Packages
The 6-lap base driving experience starts at $169 and additional packages are available. If you'd prefer to let someone else do the driving, a professional driver can take you on a 2-lap thrill ride for just $99.

  1. That sounds neat! Definitely an out of the ordinary experience!

  2. I didn't even think about that! I don't know if I'd want to actually drive, but I love that they have the shotgun option, too. :)

  3. We've been talking about doing this. I would love to take a ride in one of the exotic cars. :)
