#ThrowbackThursday - Halloween at Walt Disney World

This is for all you peeps who Love Halloween as much as I Do

This is a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World. I recently went to Magic Kingdom and the park is decorated beautifully for the Fall. With Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party going on from now until the beginning of November, the decorations are all out.  Pumpkins are everywhere from the moment you enter, every size and shape too. Some are scary and some are funny but, if you go by too fast down Main Street and forget to look up you will miss the ones peeking through the windows of the store fronts above. The popularity of this party is amazing and now extends into November and it’s because everyone has such an awesome time. You get to dress-up, collect candy, go on your favorite rides over and over and witness one of the Greatest Parades Disney has ever put on.

I didn’t always take a moment to look at all the details in the parks. I used to rush to get our fastpasses or to get on line at Space Mountain, but I recently read about how cool the windows are in MK and you should take time to look at the famous names and characters printed on them. Some are former Disney Imagineers and some are characters from Disney movies.

If you get the chance to go in September, it is not a very crowded month at the parks, I found getting on rides was not too bad. The waits were not too long for anything. And to get character autographs, not very long either, 20 minutes or less. If you plan it right you can get on rides in the afternoon when crowds are a little less but, on nights when the MNSSHP is on, the park will get more crowded as the afternoon goes on. It’s always good to get there as early as you can to plan your day and get the fastpasses you need for the most popular rides and wait out the rest of the attractions. This way you don’t wear yourself out and have the most fun…

Thanks for joining me today, Hope you have a Magical Day!

  1. Love this! I'm a teacher, so travel during the Halloween Party is pretty much impossible! My son's birthday is in October though, and we are determined to spend one of them at WDW! Thanks for sharing!
