One of the Best Dining Experiences ~
@ The Whispering Canyon Cafe
One of my Disney Must-Do's !!!!
If you can take the bus or boat to the Wilderness Lodge, GO...
We always put one new restaurant on our WDW vacation list every time we plan our trip. One of the best things about going to Walt Disney World are the dining experiences. I think every place we have eaten has been a blast, so fun a family experience that only Disney could makes your meals as fun as the parks. Although we planned for a new one, this is one of my family's tradition each and every time - going to the Whispering Canyon Cafe.
Let me give you a little back round about this particular family tradition. The restaurant is located at one of our favorite resorts, The Wilderness Lodge and staying there is how we came to find it and love it.

It hands down has the best BBQ and we order the build your own family platter (with choice of 3) from the list below. It includes ribs, chicken, pulled pork, beef strip loin, fish, sausage. With sides for sharing - baked beans, corn on the cob, veggies, Yukon-gold potatoes, a dessert sampler and the best salad and cornbread this side of Wyoming.
Here are the reasons it makes great WDW memories:
Kids love everything that is going on in this not so "typical" restaurant. The funny and goofyness of the Cast Members is very entertaining, they talk loud and throw straws at the guests. They also have the kids ride around the restaurant going around the tables on wooden horses. On the way in if there is a wait for a table they have Lincoln Logs to built to keep the kids busy.
But the most fun of all is when you ask for Ketchup. The tradition is you get every bottle in the place. Let me explain, you ask your server for ketchup and your server yells across the whole restaurant for the ketchup to be brought to your table and then everyone in place who has a bottle brings it to ya. The kids really love this and it makes for a great funny moment.
