Helpful Tips on the Walt Disney World Dining Plan

In case you haven’t dined on the plan before, the Disney Dining Plan is honored at more than 100 select Walt Disney World Resort restaurants, while the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan (available for packages that include a stay at Disney Value Resorts) includes meals and snacks at more than 50 dining locations. For current offers, click here.
This is the plan we get when we stay at WDW and it is a lot of food. Many left-overs have been left behind, lol.

The Disney Dining Plan includes one (1) Quick-Service Meal, one(1) Snack and one (1) Table-Service Meal per person, per night of your package stay for everyone in the party ages 3 and over.

The plan also includes one (1) Rapid Fill Resort refillable drink mug per person, that is valid for the length of your stay (eligible for refills at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at any Disney Resort Hotel).

The mug does not work in the parks so I'd leave it in the room.

How Disney Dining Plans Work
  • When booking your vacation, purchase one of the Magic Your Way Vacation Packages that includes a Disney dining plan.
  • While vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort, choose from over 100 select restaurants available.
  • Present your Key to the World card to your server or cashier prior to ordering. The Key to the World card electronically monitors your party's allocated meals.
  • Track your meals with the easy-to-read receipt your server will provide you, which displays your remaining meal balance.
  • Redeem your meals in any order throughout your package stay until each person's meal total is complete.

After you dine, your party’s remaining entitlements for the meal type you just enjoyed (Table-Service, Quick-Service or Snack) will be printed on the receipt.

Redeeming Your Meals
Present your Resort valid ID (either a MagicBand or Key to the World card) to the server or cashier at the time a meal or snack is purchased and specify the number of meals or snacks being redeemed for Guests ages 10+ on your Disney Dining Plan and the number of meals or snacks being redeemed for Guests ages 3-9 on your Disney Dining Plan.
Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available. e Gratuities are not included except at Dinner Shows, Private In-Room Dining and Cinderella’s Royal Table.
  • An additional form of payment is needed if you add a gratuity and have not provided a credit card at check-in to charge incidentals and other expenses to your room.
  • An 18% gratuity will automatically be added to your bill for parties of 6 or more.
  • An automatic gratuity charge may also be added to your bill for items you order that are not included in the Disney Dining Plan (e.g. alcoholic beverages).
One exception to keep in mind is when you dine at a Signature Restaurant. Which ones they are and the details are below.

Signature Restaurants provide unparalleled cuisine served in elegant and relaxed surroundings. Choose from a selection of menu offerings, including children’s favorites.

Two meal credits for each person dining at a Signature Restaurant will be redeemed from their meal plan balance. Gratuities are not included.

Dress Code for Signature Restaurants is Resort Casual. Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimsuits or swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing of any kind, or T-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.

Each meal from a Signature Restaurant location includes one (1) single serving:

Non-alcoholic beverage
