How about a quick and simple way to have a delicious family meal
I recently went shopping at my local BJ's club and found out that they have their own line of pre-made foods including dinners, appetizers and salads. Since, my family loves Italian I decided to go with the meatballs with margherita sauce, margherita lasagna and the mac and cheese.
As a very busy mom I wanted to tell you about saving time and money by incorporating these foods into your weekly dinner routine. Sometimes, we just don't have the time to cook and I really like when my whole family sits and talks around the dinner table. Usually I'm still cooking or running back and forth to the kitchen. Then I start to eat after everyone else. So one afternoon I went to BJ's looking for a quick and easy dinner for the whole family. We are 4 (including 2 teenagers) people so I wanted to make sure the portions were good and they were, we had leftovers which was great. Usually when the kids come home from school they are hungry, and et voila reheat last night's leftovers and I'm done.
All, I had to do was put the frozen meals on a cookie tray and bake for 25 - 30 minutes. I would also recommend even putting the meatballs into their own tray too.
The Meatballs with Margherita sauce was delicious, and the sauce was very Italian tasting. The spices were right on point and not too spicy at all. The size of meatballs was perfect not to gigantic so if you want to add them to lasagna it made the meal even more appetizing. Or I was thinking just on their own you could make meatball sandwiches one night for another dinner meal. I love meatballs with my pasta but, they are a pain to make and a mess too - so anywhere I can skip making them I'll take it. These truly were good, some of the frozen ones in the bag have either freezer burn or just don't taste good.
The Margarita Lasagna was delicious too. What I really loved was the sliced tomatoes on top with the mozzarella cheese. The gooey cheese was a hit with the kids too, they said they really liked the lasagna. They're only complaint was there wasn't more. I cut the lasagna into 4 portions so if you want seconds you need to buy two or get the meatballs or another side like a salad. The Italian spices were perfect and the tomato sauce was yummy.
The Creamy Mac and Cheese had a lot of cheese and we really love that. It was so delicious, the flavor was outstanding, lots of great cheddar flavor. It was very creamy inside and when I took it out of the oven it had a little crispy coating on the top to give it that extra good warm comfort food feel.
We're like big mice in this family. And I think that's why we love mac and cheese so much.
