‘Tis the season to celebrate! With many special holiday activities planned and fun for all ages, I wanted to pass on some magical events happening right now for you to enjoy. If you are coming to Walt Disney World consider staying at the Four Seasons Resort. It's brand new and has so much to offer families and adults. I have a bunch of things listed below to check out from the decor to dining. Happy Holidays everyone!
This holiday season, for those willing to trade shovels and snow boots for palm trees and infinity pools, the first festive season at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is destined to be an unforgettable experience. From a decadent gingerbread display in the lobby, holiday décor throughout the main resort areas, cooking and mixology classes, and many fun activities in Kids For All Seasons, Four Seasons offers something for everyone this holiday season.
Lobby Décor -The lobby will feature glorious holiday décor in elegant colors of plum and gold, complete with a grand 12-foot-tall Christmas tree in the lobby, wreaths and columns wrapped with garland, holiday inspired floral arrangements, and more. A gingerbread creation made by Executive Pastry Chef Rabii Saber will be a fun conversation starter, and resort guests will enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cider daily from 2pm to 5 pm. The holiday décor will be in place from Dec. 6 through Jan. 3.
Sweet Treats - From peppermint bark to gingerbread cookies, and even Executive Chef Fabrizio Schenardi’s holiday gelato flavors of chocolate peppermint, cranberry and gingerbread, the holidays are the perfect time to indulge. At The Hideout, ice cream will be offered each afternoon and complimentary cookie decorating with Chef Rabii will be offered to resort guests on Dec. 23, Dec. 30 and Jan. 2 at 2pm.
Kids For All Seasons - The Kids For All Seasons (KFAS) complimentary kids camp, open daily for ages 4-12 from 10 am to 6 pm, has an array of organized activities planned for resort guests throughout the festive season. From candy cane scavenger hunts, animal visits, timed races in the lazy river, balloon art, face painting, and much more, the KFAS team has a thoughtfully orchestrated schedule to provide fun for all ages. Kids will love the weekly holiday movies, from classics like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas to Home Alone and Elf¸ plus making jingle bell necklaces and writing letters to Santa.
Adults Only -The young, and young at heart, surely love classes like candy making and cookie decorating. But, Four Seasons has not forgotten about those who would love more of an “adult” class—hence, the Mixology Classes led by the resort’s team of master mixologists. Guests ages 21 and older can enjoy how to mix up cocktails guaranteed to spread the holiday cheer. Classes include: Dec. 21: PB&G Cocktails of the South; Dec. 26: Capa’s Spanish Sangria; Dec. 28: Ravello’s Cocktails of Northern Italy; Dec. 30: Plancha’s Rum Based Cocktails; and Jan. 2; PB&G’s Cocktails of the South. All classes take place in the resort’s demonstration kitchen in Ravello, from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Additionally, for resort guests who don’t want to miss out on NFL games, during football games the Ravello Bar will turn into the “Cigar City Brewery’s Fan Cave.” Table tennis and other games will be available in Ravello Bar and a themed bar menu will be offered during the games.
Guests will also enjoy playing 18 holes on the picturesque Tranquilo Golf Club or unwinding with a Spa treatment at the 18-treatment room Spa.
