Ever Wonder what it takes to be a #Lego Designer?

We'll here's a glimpse into that process!!

I had a great time watching and getting to see the designers at work. It not easy what they do but, it sure is fun. Just Imagine playing with legos all day and getting paid, lol. Enjoy the pics below.

Merlin Entertainments continues its expansion in Central Florida by hiring more than 40 talented men and women who will get “paid to play” as full-time LEGO Model Builders for Merlin Magic Making.  This creative branch of Merlin Entertainments designs and delivers attractions, hotels and other major projects around the globe.  The hiring announcement was made today, following the assessment of 30 LEGO Model Designer candidates at the LEGOLAND Hotel at LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

Each candidate completed building tests to showcase their talents and creativity; seven will be chosen for their ultimate dream job.

Once hiring is complete, the seven LEGO Model Designers, as well as 40 new LEGO Model Builders, will work together at a hub for Merlin Magic Making in Lake Wales.  The 40 LEGO Model Builder positions will be posted later this week on LEGOLAND.com/jobs and MerlinCareers.com.

“We welcome and encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds to apply.  I believe that the best candidate is one who has a passion to inspire creativity in others, after all, at LEGOLAND Resorts and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, the kid is the customer,” said Rob Griffin, US LEGO Production Manager.
Scheduled to be fully operational by fall, this will be the sixth team of its kind in the world.  It will support the ever-expanding LELAND® Resorts and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centers around the globe.  This year, Merlin Entertainments expanded in Central Florida with the addition of the new LEGOLAND Hotel at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and the grand opening of the Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds Orlando and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium.

I also got a chance to check out the Legoland Hotel and new area called Heartlake City. This is one amazing ride, check out the pictures of Mia's Riding Adventure, with all the moves this attraction has kids are gonna love it...
