The Voice of Star Wars Ahsoka Tano has been cast in the English language version of the classic Studio Ghibli film, Only Yesterday, to celebrate its 25th anniversary

BREAKING NEWS - Gkids has acquired North American rights from Studio Ghibli for Isao Takahata’s classic film Only Yesterday. An English-language version is being produced by Studio Ghibli with the cast to include Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire, Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), Ashley Eckstein (Her Universe, Star Wars Rebels) and Alison Fernandez (Orange is the New Black). The film will hit theaters in 2016 to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Eckstein is no stranger to Studio Ghibli as her groundbreaking fangirl apparel company, Her Universe, has been designing and producing Studio Ghibli merchandise exclusively for Hot Topic. Actress Ashley Eckstein, who’s company, Her Universe, has been designing and producing merchandise for Studio Ghibli, has been cast as one of the voice talent for the English-language version of the Studio Ghibli classic film, Only Yesterday.
