#Review - "BoneFish Grill" - Stone Crab Tonight For Sure!!

This restaurant is a favorite of mine and every time I pass it, I remember how much I want to eat there again!

I had the pleasure of having an evening out with my family this week and we were invited to go to the BoneFish Grill. It is one of my faves because, the menu choices are great, from fish to meats they have a great selection. I also loved the beautiful inside of the restaurant, it felt warm and cozy and very stylish.

From  the moment we walked into this beautiful restaurant the ambiance was inviting. I love the warm lighting and the wonderfully decorated tables. It also has outdoor seating and a very attentive staff which are two very big reasons I dine here again and again. But, it is the awesome smells coming from the open kitchen that are another very big reason, I love Bonefish Grill. From the warm bread and olive oil infused with Italian herbs dip to the delicious Caesar salad that was crisp and fresh plus the Ahi Tuna Sashimi appetizer  which were all amazing in taste and quality. The ahi tuna was definitely sushi grade, very purple in color and had been sesame-seared (rare) with wasabi pickled ginger. YUM!

As we ordered our dinner the thing I was very interested in trying was new to me. Fresh Stone Crab Claws!! I love trying new dishes and the special, stone crab was the current seasonal dish.

Great food is why we are here and lucky for me today's special is Fresh Stone Crab, only available for a short time here in Florida. I was ready to eat some crab and drink one of their fine wines that would compliment the crab tastes. So, I ordered a citrus infused wine to go with the delicious crab. The pairing with one of my faves Merryvale "Starmont" which was a delicious fruity and crisp Sauvignon Blanc wine. I also could have paired it with a glass of Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling which is both light and zesty and enhances the flavors of the mustard sauce as well as the sweet meat within the claw. The beer selection is good too - especially the Orlando local brew - Right on Red Ale!

Fresh Stone Crab Claws - $35 - a Florida delicacy, available while supplies last a full pound, cracked + chilled served with a classic mustard sauce. They were very meaty and juicy, I loved the flavor of these local treats.

Did you know?
That the crab itself is relatively small and rarely eaten? Fishermen remove one of their claws and return the crab to the ocean where it can re-grow its lost limb. Here’s another fun fact: Stone crab claws are tender on their delectable inside, but on the outside, they’re strong enough to break an oyster’s shell!

Other dishes we tried!

The Atlantic Salmon with mango salsa was grilled to perfection - very flaky and delicious. I loved that too. The fish dishes have many options for you choose from,

Fish can be fresh-grilled with lemon or choose from one of the Signature Sauces:
Lime Tomato Garlic, Mango Salsa, Herb Pesto, Pan Asian Sauce, Lemon Butter or just plain.

The Angler's Sirloin Steak with spaghetti squash and mashed potatoes. Simply delicious steak but, my teenagers did not care for the squash as their seasonal veggie. lol

Another Bangin' Dish no pun intended, was the deliciously fresh and spicy Bang Bang Shrimp. OMG! I can't tell how much I love this appetizer. The shrimp were crispy and tossed in this light and spicy sauce - it was an amazing pop right in your mouth combo of flavors.

Bang Bang Shrimp® crispy, tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce

Amazing and Sinful!

And last but definitely not least we tried some desserts. Three Doughnuts - tossed in cinnamon sugar, served with sea salt caramel or chocolate sauce. These delicious doughnuts will melt in your mouth, warm and decadent. The warm chocolate sauce was perfect for these fried treats. We shared them as we did with all the desserts because it was fun to try them all and what better way then each person ordering a different one to share.

Jen’s Jamaican Coconut Pie - creamy coconut custard, Myers’s Rum sauce, fresh whipped cream - had such great flavor and was so creamy. The delicious tastes of coconut and the custard were fab. Loved this dessert.

The Classic Cheesecake was also very creamy and delicious with sea salt caramel and chocolate drizzled on it. Can I just say close your eyes and you can taste it! Desserts are my thing so I am definitely an expert in this field, lol.

Macadamia Nut Brownie - was so decadant the chocolate and the ice cream all melting together.  It's a flourless brownie, raspberry sauce, vanilla ice cream, sprinkled with macadamia nuts.

It was such a great night and I thank Bonefish Grill for having us. The food and drink was amazing. I will definitely be back for more. I hope you will go and check out this wonderful place for yourself. If you have any questions let me know. :-)

And Don't forget they have Tuesday Night Specials!!!

Disclosure: I was given gift cards to try the seasonal menu, in no way did that or anything else influence the article written here. Thanks and Enjoy!!
