#Pitbull Comes Face-to-Face With New Madame Tussauds Orlando Figure

Mr. Worldwide himself unveils his new wax figure at Madame Tussauds Orlando

One of my favorite entertainers can now be seen at Madame Tussands!! International superstar Pitbull met his match in Orlando, as he unveiled his new wax figure for Madame Tussauds Orlando on Friday, May 29 at the attraction’s new location at I-Drive 360, the entertainment and dining destination on International Drive.
 Fun Facts:

·       Pitbull met with Madame Tussauds artists in Las Vegas in May 2014 where more than 300 facial, head and body measurements were taken
·       During the sitting with artists, Pitbull created an energetic and fun party atmosphere with music blasting during the session
·       Pitbull was actively involved with the creation of his figure and wanted to profile his signature intense stare and power pose
·       He also personally selected and donated the clothing for his figure’s outfit, including his own sunglasses
·       It took more than six weeks to sculpt the figure’s head, which weighs as much as a human head at 9.9 pounds
The entertainer met with Madame Tussauds artists in Las Vegas in May 2014, where more than 300 precise measurements of his face, head and body were taken to create the true-to-life figure. Pitbull was very involved throughout the process and personally selected his figure’s pose and facial expression. He also donated the figure’s clothing - and sunglasses - to reflect his signature sophisticated style. The figure, dressed in a black tuxedo, is styled in a power pose with Pitbull’s piercing, intense gaze.

“I’m ready to see my figure! Looking back, it was a great experience to sit with the Madame Tussauds artists who worked hard to capture every detail,” said Pitbull. “Having been born and raised in Florida, it truly is an honor to have this figure in Orlando.”

The award-winning Miami-born rapper, producer and business mogul has created some of the most popular and memorable chart-topping songs to date, and collaborated with the music industry’s biggest stars to produce such smash hits such as Time Of Our Lives (featuring Ne-Yo), FireballTimber (featuring Ke$ha) and Feel This Moment (featuring Christina Aguilera). The influential entertainer also received the honor of performing at the opening ceremony of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Universal Orlando Resort today announced a project of remarkable vision: to bring to life an entirely new water theme park experience.  Called Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort, it will join Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure and become the resort’s third incredibly immersive park. 

Universal’s Volcano Bay will be a place for the entire family.  It will be a whole new generation of experience that reimagines what it means to be a water park.

Tampa, Fla. (May 28, 2015) – Busch Gardens® Tampa puts a spin on family thrills in 2016 with a brand new family thrill ride – Cobra’s Curse. This spin coaster is the only one of its kind in the world, featuring a vertical lift and taking riders on a whirlwind adventure of exciting explorations.

Located in the Egypt area of the park, explorers will come face-to-face with an 80-foot snake icon, trek over the park’s Serengeti Plain® and discover the mysteries of an Egyptian archeological excavation.

“This isn’t your ordinary spin coaster. In true Busch Gardens style, we’re putting a twist on this attraction and taking riders on an unforgettable and exciting journey,” said Busch Gardens Park President Jim Dean. “

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO 25TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT SERIES KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND

Orlando, Fla. (May 18, 2015) – Universal Orlando Resort’s 25th Anniversary Concert Series begins this weekend with musical performances by award-winning Latin singer Prince Royce on Saturday, May 23 and teen sensation and singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes on Sunday, May 24.

Prince Royce’s latest album, “Soy el Mismo,” debuted at No. 1 on the Latin Album charts with his fourth studio album slated to release later this year. The singer has recently collaborated with several of today’s biggest artists, on top hits like “Stuck on a Feeling” and “Back It Up.” 

Mendes – who is hailed by Billboard as “Music’s First Vine Star”– just released his debut album, “Handwritten,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and includes his popular single “Life of the Party.” The 16-year-old singer is currently featured as one of TIME Magazine’s “Most Influential Teens of 2014” and will also be Taylor Swift’s opening act this summer during her “1989” world-tour.

#MARVEL STUDIOS Starts Production On “CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR”

Here is the latest info on Captain America - Civil War. There is so many characters in this one too just like Avengers : Age of Ultron, in fact check out the list below and see half the Avengers are in it.  I'm VERY curious about the interaction of them and all their roles in this new movie. I'm also not to thrilled about breaking up the Avengers and a war between Captain America and Ironman. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens May 6th, 2016 - an eternity for this Marvel FAN! And sorry no pics just yet ....

THE WALT DISNEY ARCHIVES RETURNS TO #D23 EXPO WITH “DISNEYLAND: THE EXHIBIT”

More Than 300 Classic and Contemporary Objects Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Walt’s First Theme Park Will Be on Display

BURBANK, Calif. – May 12, 2015 – The Walt Disney Archives today announced it will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Disneyland at D23 EXPO 2015 with an exhibit of more than 300 pieces from the park’s incredible history. “Walt Disney Archives Presents—Disneyland: The Exhibit” will be the largest display the Disney Archives has ever showcased at D23 EXPO. The event, presented by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, will take place August 14–16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The 12,000-square-foot exhibit, which will be located on the Expo show floor for the first time, will include themed areas that honor the park’s history, attractions, parades, and entertainment over the past six decades, including the construction of Disneyland, Pirates of the CaribbeanMickey Mouse Club at Disneyland, Club 33, and collectible merchandise, as well as the park’s iconic lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Tomorrowland, and Critter Country/Bear Country. Each area will contain items from Disneyland’s past, including attraction vehicles, costumes, props, and even Audio-Animatronics® figures. 

Among the more-than-300 items on exhibit, guests will be able to see Ticket No. 1, purchased by Roy O. Disney on July 18, 1955, the first day the park was open to the general public. Guests will see many pieces shown by the Archives for the first time, including early surveying equipment from the 1950s used in the construction of Disneyland, a prototype vehicle for the beloved Alice in Wonderland attraction, dancing­monkey costumes used in the nighttime spectacular Fantasmic!, an early Autopiacar, original artwork from Mickey Mouse Club Circus, the Abominable Snowman from the Matterhorn Bobsleds, which was replaced during the attraction’s recent enhancement, and an original pitch book full of colorful artwork that was used to sell Disneyland to prospective sponsors on the East Coast.

Cooking is my passion and the food at the Disney resorts is always the best. We have eaten at many of the Disney Resort Restaurants and they never disappoint. This month's Fish Dish is Delicious to look but how does it taste? Let's find out - I'm sharing this month's recipe with you. 



Pan Roasted Pacific Halibut, Spring Garlic Puree with Spring Vegetables
and Black Olive Caper Vinaigrette

Salt Brine Halibut
Ingredients:
2 filet
1/2 gal.
1/4 cup
3 cups
1/4 cup
3 oz.
2 cups
To taste
Pacific Halibut (about 6 oz. each)
Salt Brine (recipe follows below)
Kosher salt
water
brown sugar
olive oil
ice
Kosher salt & black pepper (for seasoning of fish)
Preparation:
In a sauce pot over low heat, stir together water, salt, and sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Stir in ice to cool brine.

Place halibut in zip-lock bag and pour in brine. Place bag into bowl and put into refrigerator for about 1 hour. Remove fish, pat dry, and discard brine.

In a medium nonstick pan, heat 3 oz. of olive oil over medium heat. Season fish with kosher salt and black pepper and place into pan. Sear for 2 minutes on one side. Turn fish over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

1/2 lb.
1/2 cup

Spring garlic
Idaho/russet potato - diced
butter - diced
heavy cream
sea salt
white pepper

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 6, 2015) – King Kong will rule at Universal Orlando Resort next year in the groundbreaking attraction, “Skull Island: Reign of Kong.”  

The new attraction will open in the summer of 2016 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure – and will be an intense, all-new adventure brought to life in a dramatically themed environment.  Skull Island: Reign of Kong will pull guests into a powerfully told story where they become part of the next generation of the Kong legend.  

It begins as guests are transported deep into a wild and mysterious world, where their mission is to discover creatures of unknown origin – but where they are soon fighting for their own survival. Their journey will take them through an ancient temple inhabited by hostile natives, a perilous jungle ruled by prehistoric creatures, a foreboding underworld of caves concealing unspeakable terrors – and face-to-face with the colossal Kong himself. 

Universal Creative is working closely with Peter Jackson, famed director of 2005’s blockbuster movie, “King Kong,” to immerse guests in this incredible adventure.
