Orlando's #LakeHouse Restaurant ~ Delicious Dining With A Private Lake Retreat Feel

Welcome!  Living here in Orlando, I love going to new and exciting places to dine and this was at the top of my list to try. I was luckily enough to be invited to dine at Central Florida's Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress resort's newest restaurant, LakeHouse. It's a beautiful, relaxing restaurant and the resort itself is gorgeous too. Located downstairs, I found myself in awe of the decor both bright and bold, it welcomed me like an dear friend. I really loved the cascading staircase down to the dining room and bar. Located alongside Lake Windsong, the grounds and beauty of the LakeHouse are breathtaking. Be sure and go outside and walk around the beautiful grounds. I found the cuisine amazing and I will be telling you about some of it, right here. But before that I wanted to mention the wonderful and very attentive service from the staff - they were nice to talk to and shared the details of all the foods we tried.

For instance, House made pizza made this night a special treat, who doesn't love fresh and delicious pizza? They are available Margherita style, Turkey and Brie and a Sage with Butternut Squash. Also available a Vegan flatbread with yummy heirloom tomatoes, herbs, beets and mushrooms.

Whether you are here for business or pleasure the contemporary setting is comfortable and will make you feel right at home, here at the LakeHouse. Their selection is locally based foods with a lot of regional inspiration.  It's a great place for a romantic getaway for 2 or a nice night out with the whole family.

LakeHouse is a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as delicious appetizers and cocktails, throughout the day. They also serve bottle and draft beer, a large selection of wines plus the wood-fired pizza/flatbreads, yum!

Their menu has something for everyone. For me, the two drinks I had were some of the best both the White Sangria and Blood Orange Mojito tasted simply amazing. Both added an amazing zing to my dinner. Let me tell you about some of the apps we had. To start we tried some sinful - Almond filled Dates wrapped in Bacon, can you say delish? The sweet date with the savory, salty bacon - Heaven!! And the Sea Salt Pretzel Bites w/ Horseradish mustard and beer cheese fondue, Ah-mazing. The mustard was tangy and slightly spicy but, oh so delicious. I highly recommend both.

Pictured above is the Filet Mignon with port wine sauce, tender asparagus and a very scrumptious herb bread pudding. Cooked perfectly the filet melted in your mouth, 100% recommended this dish. Now for my next fave - Grilled Shrimp Cocktail ~ is one of the most amazing tastes, loved the spicy Bloody Mary cocktail sauce and the grilled taste of the shrimp together. I also love fish and this next dish, Sea Bass with Citrus Butter Sauce and Lemon Grass Orzo was delicious. It was so tender and flaky, and the spiced kale were delicious together, I would order this anytime.  Shrimp and Grits were a true southern favorite dish: creamy, cheesy and with a zesty passion fruit bbq sauce.

And last but not least - the wonderful, amazing, melt in your mouth Sushi. All of the sushi was expertly prepared and extremely fresh. Sure to be a hit with any sushi lover. There are many types available and some of my faves were Volcano, Caterpillar, Rainbow and California rolls are just some available here.
The sushi menu is extensive and many of your favorites are available, along with house specialities.

Sweet Desserts:
Starting with my favorite - the Hot Roasted Apple Tart - it has the most delectable taste. Imagine fire roasted apples inside a flaky crust, topped vanilla bourbon ice cream.YUM!  All their desserts were amazing and I wish I had more room, lol. Now check out the rest - Key Lime Cheesecake, Double Fudge Cake, Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae w/enough for 2 and the scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake shots pictured below.

The decor focuses on Florida's natural beauty with a blend of blue, yellow, orange, grey and white colors. The 6,350 sq. ft. restaurant seats 206 guests and they can soak up views of beautiful Lake Windsong.  A visit to the herb garden outside definitely gave me the feeling of fresh ingredients being used here.

With so much more to enjoy on the menu, stop by for a relaxing and very enjoyable meal. For more details and the location visit their website listed below.
I want to thank the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for having me. This post was written with out influence from anyone and or anything, thanks for stopping by!!
