Zootopia ~ Disney's Funniest Movie Yet! #MovieReview

I think this might be Disney's funniest movie yet! After seeing Zootopia last night I can't stop thinking about the jokes and the adorable characters. They are so cute and have a great life in Zootopia, it's a place I would want to live. Zootopia is a metropolis populated by anthropomorphic mammals, with several districts including Sahara Square, Tundratown, Little Rodentia, and the Rainforest District. The names of the different places in Zootopia are definitely places kids could imagine living. The main characters are Judy Hopps - police bunny and Nick Wilde - a con artist fox both are serious and funny when it comes to their jobs. The movie has a serious message though one I thought this world could defintely use more of, no matter what your dreams are "go for it". When people around you don't really think you can do it or should do it sometimes it's a stranger turned friend that believes in you the most. That is the heart of this movie the wonderful friendship between Judy and Nick. Now the movie doesn't start out with them being BFF's but, it's a nice progression throughout the movie to see them work together. They like all good detectives must work together in order to solve something. I highly recommend this movie for Both adults and kids.

The other characters in the movie were so funny and real, especially some of Judy's co-worlers at the Police Station. There was a very stern Chief Bogo, a cape buffalo who gives Judy a hard time, to the friendly and adorable - Officer Benjamin Clawhauser, an obese cheetah who works as a dispatcher for the Zootopia Police Department. On the opposite side Nick Wilde had some less than honest associates, nothing scary though. I thought the character Mr. Big (an arctic shrew who is the most fearsome crime boss in all of Tundratown) was indeed my favorite, he was hysterical and I loved the Godfather references in this movie. The scene with the sloths was another favorite, from beginning to end they were the funniest. Flash (the fastest 3 toed sloth at the DMV and his co-worker Priscilla) work together and love to hear jokes. Not sure if the kids will get the DMV joke but, I thought it was the best. Yes, the DMV is so slow there might as well be sloths working in there, perfect analogy. You do feel like you spent all day which is what happens to Judy and Nick.

The music scenes with Sharika as Gazelle were amazing. I loved her singing and the song "Try Everything" - it added so much energy to the movie and made you feel so positive.

My kids loved it, they thought it was one of the best movies yet and said it was one of the funniest movies they have ever seen. I think the fact that the whole town is made up of animals definitely helps with the appeal to kids.

ZOOTOPIA opens in theatres everywhere today - March 4th!

The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”),
