Are You In The Mood For BBQ? Marlow's Tavern Ribs & Whisky Menu #Review

As I often do, I find myself loving Orlando and it's food. I wanted to tell you about the latest place I had the pleasure of dining. It's called Marlow's Tavern and yes, you have probably heard of it, but maybe you haven't gone in lately. Well, after this experience the only thing I can say is I was so impressed, you definitely need to check it out for yourself. The food has always been "one of kind" and I mean they make it right there in the restaurant from scratch. You don't often find a place that cares so much about it customers; they are treated like family. I felt so at home with the relaxed ambiance and the sweet smells coming from the kitchen.

Some of the things that really impressed me were - the open kitchen so I could see everything being made, the very attentive staff from our waitress to the manager/owner, the fact that they don't have a closing time which I honestly found so nice, if I come in late and I'm having such a great time with my family I'm not rushed.

The food and drinks are impressive too. I mean sauces and recipes made right there not from a another source (or a can). They use Florida based foods and veggies, to support local businesses here in Florida, which I love.  They change their menu seasonally so they always have fresh dishes for you to enjoy, while they do leave some of the faves on the menu permanently for those who love them. Their drinks are also made from scratch the citrus juice for the drinks is freshly squeezed daily. So for affordable luxury food there is no better place. The quality is amazing and the staff is warm and inviting.
New Saucy Specials Now Through October 17

The Delish Details
1st to drink:
R&W Sweet Tea - A Very Unique Concoction  -- I really loved the flavor of this drink w/ beer and sweet tea vodka mixed together, Perfect combo. Sweet and light. (Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, Fresh Lemon, Agave Nectar, Topped with a Shot of Shock Top Beer and a Kick of Orange)
Yellow Dream Drink - Was one of the specialty drinks and it was like a delicious Margarita (Bacardi sour mix, lime juice and simple syrup) - this drink was made with fresh squeezed citrus which is made daily in house.

BLISTERED POBLANO & JALAPENO, “POPPER-STYLE” - (Roasted Corn, Cheddar, Mozzarella & Provolone and Fresh Herbs with BBQ Ranch for Dippin) These  jalapeño poppers were so delicious. Spicy and hot, fried lightly, filled with the cheese inside with a great smokey flavor.

The Brisket Sliders w/ Jack Daniels Sauce were phenomenal! The sliders had GRANNY SMITH APPLE CABBAGE SLAW on top and this gave that added yummy tart flavor, plus crispy onions for the crunch. The beef was perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth. And adding to this dish was the amazing the home made Jack Daniels sauce, dill pickles and tangy cole slaw.

HOUSE-MADE SWEET CORN AND JALAPEÑO MUFFINS - were so fresh, sweet and crumbly  - it was a jalapeño spicy kick that went perfectly with the beef brisket slider.

St. Louis Style Ribs - Were so amazing, falling off the bone - cooked perfectly, I loved them. I think these were my favorite of any place I have ever had ribs.  The sauces were amazing you can choose from 3. Jack Daniels glaze (smoky, spicy, sweet with honey whiskey flavor), East Carolina BBQ (tangy with that important hint of mustard), Chipotle BBQ (chipotle spicy and sweet). Just Amazing!!!

BOURBON BREAD PUDDING  - Best dessert!! This was so fabulous, it was sweet and sticky and very gooey, just the way dessert should be. Topped with vanilla ice cream = awesome.
(Crème Brûlée-Soaked Cuban Bread with a Splash of Honey Jack Daniels for optimal sweetness) - Baked only 2x a year!
